A reminder from our previous post: Successful Spouti™ Placement – Achieve the Perfect Seal Pt. 1
-
Make sure you are completely dry before placement
-
Make sure you are standing with your legs together
-
Make sure the Spouti™ tab is resting underneath the clitoris
-
Be sure to tuck in your Spouti™ far enough that it isn’t putting pressure on your urethra
You’ve done it. You found your urethra, you’ve gotten Spouti™ centered, you were certain this was it – but you still sprung a leak.
You might be muttering “What the heck is going on??” So you reach out to the good folks at My Spouti, LLC and we ask you a few questions.
Today we’ll discuss one of the most common questions:
Do you have a bit too much junk in the trunk?
Spouti™ was meant to rest below the clitoris. (See the note above? ^^) If you notice that the tab is resting on top of your bits and not below them, then you’ll need to make a very simple modification. “How come?” Glad you asked!
We worked diligently during manufacturing to ensure that Spouti™ was flexible enough so to comfortably wear while sitting. The original plan was to take a big chunk out of the tab to make this happen. We quickly realized that doing so would make Spouti™ look like a pair of needle nose pliers. Let’s be honest – no one wants to put something that looks like pliers down by the sensitive bits!
So we went with the triangle shaped cutout to achieve that comfortable flex. However, because everyone is molded differently this means that some people are going to need a smaller tab. Taking a small pair of scissors to the tip of the triangle opens that tab right up and gives you the room you need to wear Spouti™ without mushing your bits!
“So…. How do I make this modification exactly?” Don’t worry it’s super easy to do – just take a pair of scissors to the tip of the triangle and snip that tip so it looks like this:

This opens the tab to give you more room for your junk – Please take your time and cut it smoothly. Silicone is surprisingly sharp against skin when it has harsh edges!
Do NOT trim off the “prongs” that form when you open the tab. These keep Spouti™ in place <3
Once you get that little modification out of the way give your Spouti™ a quick wash and go ahead and try out your placement. You should see a dramatic improvement in comfort and seal!
As always – if you have any questions, or need any advice, reach out to us through our email or any of our social media platforms.
